Vancouver to Kamloops - July 13, Sunday
The highlight of your tour is at hand - a train trip on the Rocky Mountaineer. The two-day rail journey from Vancouver to Jasper is an all-daylight trip. Meals aboard the Rocky Mountaineer are included, and you stay in a comfortable hotel in Kamloops overnight. Today, the dramatic Fraser Canyon and the desert-like conditions around Kamloops will captivate you.
Kamloops to Jasper - July 14, Monday
Rested and refreshed, board the train this morning, to continue on to Jasper. Sightseeing extraordinaire!
Jasper to Fairmont Hot Springs - July 15, Tuesday
The Icefields Parkway connects Jasper and Banff National Parks, and offers spectacular vistas of snowcapped mountains, waterfalls, and rivers. This route's highlight, of course, is the Athabaska Glacier which descends from the massive Columbia Icefields almost to the road. You will see Lake Louise with its unique glacial colour, the beautiful Victoria Glacier and then go on to spend the night at Fairmont Hot Springs.
Fairmont to Osoyoos - July 16, Wednesday
After soaking in the mineral pools at Fairmont, your journey takes you to Canada's highest city, Kimberley, and onto rich mining country-the Kootenays. Stay in British Columbia's fruit-growing region, the Okanagan, in the town of Osoyoos tonight.
Osoyoos to Victoria - July 17, Thursday
Follow the Crowsnet Highway, through Manning Park, and past the Hope Slide, on your way home today. Bid a fond farewell to new friends as the tour draws to a close and you return home.
